Robert Hass' collection "Time and Materials" shared the 2008 Pulitzer for Poetry with Philip Schultz. The only other year two poets shared the prize was in 1919, when Margaret Widdemer won for "Old Road to Paradise" and Carl Sandburg for "Corn Huskers." Hass' collection was a recommended read by our poetry columnist Michael Chitwood. Other Pulitzer-winning books in 2008 are below.
