Even if you haven’t heard of Nashville music maven Kim Richey, you may have heard her songs. Twice nominated for Grammy awards, Richey’s songs, thoughtful reflections on life’s give and take, have been recorded by A-list singers, including Trisha Yearwood (“Believe Me Baby, I Lied”), Radney Foster (“Nobody Wins”) and Maura O’Connell (“Every River”). She’s also graced the soundtracks of “Dawson’s Creek” and other TV shows. But her true talent is her own compelling voice delivering her intelligent, insightful songs. On Thursday, Richey will make a rare visit to the Triangle area for a not-to-miss show at the Carrboro ArtsCenter. For information, see artscenterlive.org.
