Crystal Gayle may be Loretta Lynn’s younger sister, but she has enjoyed a successful music career of her own. Gayle was the first woman in country music to sell one million copies of an album with “We Must Believe in Magic.” Her signature song, “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue,” brought her a Grammy Award, and she’s a two-time CMA top female vocalist. Earlier this summer, the Academy of Country Music honored Gayle with a prestigious Pioneer Award. Friday night, the singer with the nearly floor-length hair and big, bold voice brings her hits to Jones Performing Arts Center at Louisburg College. For details, see jpacarts.com.
