When National Public Radio and the Wall Street Journal both rave about a homegrown Tarheel duo, it’s reason enough to pay heed. After years of gigging and winning fans in the Triangle, Mandolin Orange is about to break big with the release of their second Yep Roc Records CD, “Such Jubilee,” on May 5. The CD is the follow-up to “This Side of Jordan,” which NPR named one of the year’s best folk/Americana releases. On Saturday, Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz will showcase songs from “Such Jubilee” with a CD release show at UNC-Chapel Hill’s Memorial Hall.
