After years of writing hit songs for others (including George Strait, Luke Bryan and Kenny Chesney) and grabbing three Grammy nominations as a member of the SteelDrivers bluegrass band, Kentucky native Chris Stapleton has launched his solo bid for the brass ring. Stapleton’s debut album, “Traveller,” was released last month, and on Saturday he brings his songs and distinctively passionate vocals to the Lincoln Theatre in Raleigh.
