An ambitious musical mashup of classical music, bluegrass and jazz will be presented by the Durham Symphony under the direction of Maestro William Henry Curry. On Saturday, the “NC Music and All That Jazz” performance will showcase jazz and North Carolina Piedmont bluegrass music featuring pieces from North Carolina composers and local artists, including the works of Copland, Terry Mizesko and a special tribute to Duke Ellington’s long-time collaborator, Billy Strayhorn.
