The annual African American Cultural Festival of Raleigh and Wake County features art, music, dance, food and community activities on Saturday and Sunday. The festival, a celebration of African American culture, includes musical performers Marcus Anderson, Maimouna Youseff (aka Mumu Fresh), Jus Once Band and others. There’s also an Art Gallery Walk, dance performances and interactive activities in the Family Village. Festivities take place along Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, from Martin Street through City Plaza.
The two-day event is free. Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and 1-10 p.m. Sunday. For more information visit: aacfestival.org.
