The best rock picks, March 21

A Memorial Celebration Concert for Kelly Holland, the late Cry of Love and Crush vocalist, happens Sunday at Raleigh’s Lincoln Theatre.

If you’re looking to pay respects to the late, great Kelly Holland – the former Cry of Love and Crush vocalist who was one of the best classic-rock frontmen this town has ever seen before his death last month – come on out to Sunday’s Memorial Celebration Concert happening in his honor at Raleigh’s Lincoln Theatre. The lineup includes Hank Sinatra, Wannabees, Skynyrd tribute band Tuesday’s Gone, and an all-star jam of Holland’s friends and peers from the local music community. Doors open at 5 p.m. Sunday. Suggested donation is $5, with proceeds earmarked for Holland’s teenage son, Elijah. See lincolntheatre.com for details.
