Cloud Nothings play at two basic tempos (fast and faster) and one basic volume (even louder), which seems like the ultimate in limitations. And yet this young Cleveland trio’s “Here and Nowhere Else” (Carpark Records) doesn’t feel limited at all, thanks to boundlessly transcendent energy and hooks, plus main man Dylan Baldi’s unerring feel for high-decibel tunefulness. Cloud Nothings were one of the best bands I saw at South By Southwest last month, and they’re playing Thursday at Carrboro’s Cat’s Cradle. Ryley Walker opens at 9 p.m. and tickets are $12-$14. See catscradle.com for details.
