Raleigh singer Kat Robichaud might turn out to be that rarest of species – the contest-show competitor who doesn’t win but gets a decent career anyway. Last fall, Robichaud made the Top 10 of NBC’s “The Voice” before losing out. Undeterred, she came home, launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund an album and raised $42,000 – more than double her $20,000 goal. She’s been working on the album at the palatial local studio Manifold Recording, and word is good. Robichaud will preview the new material (much of which has yet to be performed in public) Saturday at Raleigh’s Lincoln Theatre. Jack the Radio, AMFMS and others are also on the bill. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are $10-$12. See lincolntheatre.com for details.
