The Deslondes have a familiar look, a scruffy bunch in trucker caps trading in country songs with themes about screwing up one’s life beyond repair. But what sets this New Orleans quintet apart is the down-home Crescent City spin they put on it, with punchlines accompanied by gumbo-soaked grooves. It should be a highly agreeable evening when they play the Back Room of Carrboro’s Cat’s Cradle on Tuesday.
Showtime is 8 p.m. and cover is $10. See catscradle.com for details.
