"The Office" NBC, 9 p.m. Troubling rumors about Dunder Mifflin rock Michael's world, driving him to overreact by forcing the office into diversions so strange they upset Jim and make the rest of the staff wonder whether Michael has gone nuts.

"Fringe" FOX, 9 p.m. When a kidnapping escalates into a hostage situation, authorities close in on the suspects only to discover that an unknowable force has mind-blowing consequences. The mystery and the threat level only intensify as the division identifies a link to Massive Dynamic.
