Hell’s Kitchen (8pm, Fox) - Season 13 begins with chef Gordon Ramsay dividing the 18 chefs into two teams of men vs. women and challenging them to create their signature dishes. The victors’ spoils include a chance to dine with Wolfgang Puck, while the losers have to set up the contestants’ living quarters and kitchen.
Unsung (8pm, TV One) - Tonight’s episode looks at Wilson Pickett, singer of “In the Midnight Hour” and “Mustang Sally.” Pickett strove for perfection but his short fuse caused endless rifts and run-ins, including a decades-long rivalry with James Brown. Family, friends and collaborators are interviewed. Included in that group is recording artist Bobby Womack, who died this summer.
Nova: Vaccines - Calling the Shots (9pm, UNC-TV) - An examination of vaccines and why they’re important. In addition to explaining how vaccines work, the report discusses the concerns and misinformation that surround them, and details the risks to both children and society if people forgo immunization.
Taxi Brooklyn (10pm, NBC) - In the season (and most likely, series) finale, Leo’s son arrives with his wife, but the trip takes an unfortunate turn. Meanwhile, Cat is forced to prove her innocence while caught up in an investigation.
