The Comeback (10 p.m., HBO) - The Comeback (10 p.m., HBO) – The long-awaited second season (Season 1 aired in 2005) has Valerie ( Lisa Kudrow) producing her own pilot for a reality show which she hopes will get picked up by HBO, but her nemesis Paulie G. ( Lance Barber) has a competing series in the works with a very familiar plot (Note: Seth Rogan will play Paulie G.’s character in the show-within-a-show).

NOW: In the Wings on a World Stage (8 p.m., Ovation) - Kevin Spacey’s documentary chronicling the ambitious world tour of “Richard III,” a play produced by Spacey and Sam Mendes.
The Newsroom (9 p.m., HBO) - The third and final season begins in April 2013 with the “News Night” team cautiously covering the Boston marathon bombing. Sources say the season will feature a Maggie-Jim-Hallie (new reporter, played by Grace Gummer) love triangle.
The Good Wife (9 p.m., CBS) - Alicia takes on a college rape case that pits her against Louis Canning when it moves from a university hearing to civil court.
Masterpiece: Worricker (9 p.m., UNC-TV) - The second episode in the “Worricker” trilogy features guest stars Winona Ryder, Christopher Walken, Helena Bonham Carter and Rupert Graves in a story involving Johnny’s ( Bill Nighy) retirement on a Caribbean island.
