Nova: Cold Case JFK (9pm, UNC-TV) - The 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy is re-investigated using modern technology and contemporary scientific techniques. Included: ballistics experts reconstruct the shooting in a test of the "single bullet theory"; a virtual model of Dealey Plaza is created to study whether there could have been more than one gunman; and the 8mm Zapruder film, which captured the shooting, is studied.
Law & Order: SVU (9pm, NBC) - Police suspect that a junior military officer was raped and the prime suspects are soldiers from her unit. However, the victim is reluctant to cooperate and her commanding officer attempts to impede the investigation.
Modern Family (9pm, ABC) - A day at the school fair for the Pritchett clan has its ups and downs when Gloria volunteers Jay to be part of security, but he's paired with his nemesis.
Secrets of the Dead: JFK - One PM Central Standard Time (10pm, UNC-TV) - George Clooney narrates the Season 13 premiere, which recalls how the JFK assassination was reported by journalists on the scene in Dallas and by Walter Cronkite, who anchored CBS News' coverage from New York. Included are recollections from Dan Rather, Bob Schieffer, Marvin Kalb and Marianne Means, as well as former president Bill Clinton.
CSI (10pm, CBS) - The CSIs investigate when a man is found dead in a human-sized hamster ball. Meanwhile, a swing-shift CSI searches for a serial rapist.
Nashville (10pm, ABC) - Maddie seeks a connection with Deacon as Teddy's wedding day approaches. Also, Rayna and Luke bond as they discuss exes and children.
