Too Cute: Puppy and Kitten Holiday Special (9pm, Animal Planet) - Perfect for viewing after finding out if poor ReRun Van Pelt gets a dog for Christmas (see below) – Animal Planet presents the first Christmases for litters of puppies and kittens.

I Want A Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown (8pm, ABC) - Linus and Lucy's little brother, ReRun, tries to avoid the Van Pelt family's holiday nuttiness by hanging with Snoopy and his own sibling, desert-dwelling Spike. It's a 2003 cartoon based on previously published comic strips by Charles S. Schulz.

Auntie Mame (8pm, Turner Classic Movies) - This 1958 Best Picture nominee is about a young impressionable orphan who receives a dizzyingly wild upbringing from his eccentric madcap aunt, who detests nonsense in others but loves it in herself.
