What to Watch on Sunday: ‘Kennedy Center Honors’ and series finale of ‘Treme’

Kennedy Center Honors (9pm, CBS) - This will be great! Martina Arroyo, Herbie Hancock, Billy Joel, Shirley MacLaine and Carlos Santana are the honorees at the 36th annual gala, which is always one of the most fun TV events of the year. Performers and presenters include Kathy Bates, Harry Belafonte, Tony Bennett, Garth Brooks, Chick Corea, Sutton Foster, Buddy Guy, Don Henley, Snoop Dogg and Rufus Wainwright.
Also on tonight …
Lawrence of Arabia (8pm, Turner Classic Movies) - David Lean directed this Oscar-winning epic starring the recently departed Peter O’Toole as the man who led the Arab revolt against the Turks during World War I. Also stars Alec Guiness, Omar Sharif and Anthony Quinn.
Treme (9pm, HBO) - In the series finale, Colson gets a transfer offer, and the Guardians of the Flame send their Big Chief home. Also, Antoine treats his sons to a Dr. John concert, Nelson returns to Texas, and Davis discovers that his pothole has been decorated.
Taken for Ransom (9pm, Lifetime) - In this new movie, a wealthy woman suffers a horrible tragedy and descends into substance abuse. Later, she is kidnapped and learns that someone close to her may be behind the abduction. Stars Teri Polo, Tia Carrere, and Chazz Palminteri.
Finding Bigfoot (9pm, Animal Planet) - In this two-hour special, the team go to Nepal in search of the Yeti, an investigation highlighted by visits to monasteries to examine relics and explorations of forests in the Himalayas.
