Paycheck to Paycheck: The Life and Times of Katrina Gilbert (9pm, HBO) - This profile of a single mother with three children trying to make ends meet while working as a certified nursing assistant at an extended care facility in Tennessee illuminates the day-to-day challenges of millions of working poor women in America.

Also on tonight . . .

How I Met Your Mother (8pm, CBS) - The wedding-day arrival of enigmatic Gary Blauman throws the gang into an uproar as they all recall their various encounters with him.

Bates Motel (9pm, A&E) - Norma forms and alliance and Emma begins a new relationship. Meanwhile, Norman falls under the influence of a townie girl.

The Fosters (9pm, ABC Family) - The Foster teens get ready for their school’s winter ball. Also, Callie’s old friend tries to reconcile with her and Ana delivers some troubling news to Stef.

The Blacklist (10pm, NBC) - Red targets a past associate -- a crime lord who then seeks revenge after escaping from prison. Also, Tom (I knew it!!) confronts Jolene.

Castle (10pm, ABC) - Castle and Beckett are pursued by a ninja assassin (I think they’re running out of stories here) while investigating the homicide of a Japanese ballerina.
