What to Watch on Wednesday: Alec Baldwin guests on Hargitay-directed ‘L&O: SVU’

Law & Order: SVU (9pm, NBC) - A newspaper columnist ( Alec Baldwin) is granted full access to the squad as they investigate a Muslim woman’s rape, and he soon concludes the case is a hoax. The woman then faces public scrutiny while Benson ( Mariska Hargitay) worries that a rapist is getting away with a crime. Hargitay directed the episode.

The 100 (9pm, CW) - This new soapy sci-fi drama, based on the novel by Kass Morgan, imagines life 97 years after a nuclear apocalypse. It stars Henry Ian Cusick (“Lost”), Isaiah Washington (“Grey’s Anatomy”) and Paige Turco (“Person of Interest”).

The Americans (10pm, FX) - An old friend complicates matters for Phillip and Elizabeth, while Phillip’s cover is threatened by Martha.

Broad City (10:30pm, Comedy Central) - Abbi is ecstatic after selling her art, but decides she needs a new apartment when she can’t take Bevers’ nonsense anymore. Meanwhile, Ilana has her hands full dealing with a cable company and a creepy ex.
