NCAA Tournament - The tournament really gets going today, but of the local teams, only N.C. State gets a Thursday slot (7:20 p.m. on TNT). For the most part, games are scattered all over the place – CBS, TNT, TBS and truTV. Your best bet is to keep an eye on the CBS online schedule –but of course, get all your local stories from Joe Giglio, Andrew Carter, Laura Keeley and company at newsobserver.com.

American Idol (8pm, Fox) - Someone is eliminated – right after Jennifer Lopez and pop rockers Royal Teeth perform.

The Happenings (8pm, National Geographic Channel) - Barry and Stuart try to convince people that a ghost is haunting the town of Whistable, England.

Parks and Recreation (8:30pm, NBC) - A replacement BFF for Ann is sought by Leslie, who decides to throw an impromptu Galentine’s Day with new friends. Elsewhere, Tom and Ben try to make a deal on tents for the Unity Concert.

Scandal (10pm, ABC) - Crazy Sally causes problems when she meets with the NRA. Meanwhile, someone unexpected seeks help from Olivia’s firm.

Vikings (10pm, History) - Ragnar and Ecbert meet face-to-face and Rollo is forced to become a leader (I include this show each week because I love typing out the names).
