black-ish (9:30 p.m., ABC) – All of the network shows having finales tonight are renewed, which is especially great news for “blackish” – in my opinion, the funniest sitcom on television. In tonight’s first season finale, Pops tells Jack and Diane a story about their great-great grandfather. Sean Combs and Mary J. Blige guest star.
Also on tonight . . .
The Mysteries of Laura (8 p..m., NBC) – Season 1 ends with Jake in critical condition, and Laura and the team searching for his shooter.
Survivor (8 p.m., CBS) – Someone wins the $1 million prize in the season finale.
Never miss a local story.
MasterChef (8 p.m., Fox) – Season 9 starts with 40 home cooks presenting dishes to the judges.
500 Questions (8 p.m., ABC) – A new game show that takes super smart people and asks them to answer 500 difficult general knowledge questions. There are no saves and no multiple choice in this “genius game show.” In tonight’s first episode, a neuroscientist and an attorney compete in a test of knowledge.
L&O: SVU (9 p.m., NBC) – Season 16 ends with an episode called “Surrendering Noah,” about Baby Noah’s adoption by Olivia being in jeopardy.
Supernatural (9 p.m., CW) – In the Season 10 finale, Dean comes to a stunning decision that will alter his life -- and Sam’s as well.
Modern Family (9 p.m., ABC) – Phil attends Alex’s graduation party via video chat in the season ender.
Chicago PD (10 p.m., NBC) – A retired commander wants his nephew out of a corrupt unit in the Season 2 finale.
The Late Show with David Letterman (11:35 p.m., CBS) – And of course, tonight is the final night for Letterman. I wrote about that here a few days ago, but I’m getting sadder the more I think about it. Even if you aren’t staying up for it, set the DVR.
