Today is the last day for Wake County residents who haven't registered before to register to vote for the Raleigh, Cary and Wake school board elections Oct. 9, as well as the Raleigh and Wake bond votes. Registration forms must be postmarked by today or hand-delivered by 5 p.m. to the Wake County Board of Elections at South Salisbury and West Davie streets.

You need to update your registration if you have never registered in Wake County, moved within the county since you last registered, have changed your name or wish to change your party affiliation.

Go online to www.wakegov.com/ elections/voter_reg.htm to download a registration form, or pick one up at the Board of Elections, a public library, a driver's license office, a public assistance agency, an agency serving the disabled, a public high school or a town hall. You can also register there or mail the form to the Wake County Board of Elections, P.O. Box 695, Raleigh, NC 27602.

For more about the coming elections, go to share.triangle. com/election2007 or call the elections board at 856-6240.
