Evan Brabrand, Bryce Love share Cap 8 football player honors

Wakefield High quarterback Evan Brabrand and Wake Forest runner Bryce Love share football player of the year honors in the Cap Eight 4A Conference.
Love helped lead Wake Forest to the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4AA finals while Brabrand helped Wakefield to a share of the regular-season title.
Leesville Road’s Malcolm Hitchcock was the offensive player of the year and Sam Blue was the defensive player of the year. Broughton’s Andrew King was the special teams player of the year.
Wakefield’s Rod Sink was the coach of the year.
