Cotten Skinner Parrott of Morehead City died Friday, August 29.
She was a beautiful Southern lady who had a heart of pure gold and loved everyone. She was born Margaret Cotten Skinner to Charles C. (Dusty) and Margaret (Peggy) Pleasants Skinner on November 22, 1946.
She is survived by the love of her life her husband Hubert Parrott, her daughters Pleasants Higgs and Georgia Vick and sons in law Mike Vick and Chris Higgs as well as six grandchildren who adored their GaGa, Hayden Vick, Emma Vick, Albury Higgs, Henry Vick, Lilly Higgs and Stella Higgs. She is also survived by her sister Nina Skinner Upchurch, brother Joseph Skinner, brother in law Roy Upchurch, her dog Cookie and a million friends.
There is no measure as to how much we will all miss her.

A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Kinston on Tuesday, September 2 at 11 a.m. with The Rev. A. Michael Singer and Rev. Susan Pate Greenwood officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or SmileTrain would be appreciated.
