Wayne R. Eberhardt, 80, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 15, 2014. Born on May 24, 1934 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin; he was the son of the late Lester and Frances Friesner Eberhardt, and the brother of the late Harl Eberhardt.
Wayne received an Engineering Degree from the University of Wisconsin and graduated from St. Louis University Law School. He worked for Monsanto, Johnson and Johnson, and Burroughs Wellcome. He retired as Chief Patent Counsel at Burroughs Wellcome in 1995, and then served as Vice President, Business Development and General Counsel for Krenitsky Pharmaceuticals Inc. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years: Ann Light Eberhardt, of Cary; children: Leslie Ann Finnegan of Monterey CA and her husband Tony, son Sam, and daughter Maggie; Alan Wayne Eberhardt of Birmingham, AL, and his wife Amanda and daughter Juliana; and brothers: Dale Eberhardt of Orange Park, FL and Dean Eberhardt of Dayton, OH, as well as other family and friends.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, September 21, 2014 from 1-3 PM at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home (200 SE Maynard Road in Cary), with Funeral Services to begin at 3 PM. Graveside Services, assisted by Harder Funeral Home will be held in Brookfield, Wisconsin at Valhalla Cemetery on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 2 PM.
