Julian Herman Buffaloe, 95, went home to be with his Lord on Friday. He was wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and great great grandfather. Born April 29, 1919 to Atlas and Lillian Crocker Buffaloe, Julian was one of nine children. He grew up working on the family farm assuming family responsibilities at a very young age. He was a man of great faith who loved the outdoors. Julian was known for his generosity to his family and to people who needed his help; often giving away products of his yearly garden and farm; willing to help many people who were down on their luck.
He was a retired dairy and livestock farmer as well as landlord of rental properties. As a business man, he served on the Board of Directors of Raleigh Production Credit Association for several years. He was dependable; always as good as his word. He believed in hard work as a valuable ingredient for building a strong character which he taught his sons. During WWII, he worked German prisoners housed at Camp Butner, NC on his farm and made lasting friendships even though he could not speak German.
