Rose Miller Dameron, age 81, of Hilltop Drive, Lexington passed away Saturday evening at her home.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday (October 3, 2014) at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Rowe and Dr. Lee Dukes officiating. Private inurnment will follow in the church Columbarium immediately following the service followed by a visitation in the fellowship hall of the church. At other times the family will be at the residence.
Rose was born September 22, 1933 in Carthage, to Harvey Lee and Louise Yow Miller. Rose attended Peace College in Raleigh and Queens College in Charlotte. Rose was a homemaker; a member of First United Methodist Church where she had served on the Altar Guild, the Administrative Board and was a member of the Spruill Sunday School Class. Rose was a member of Lexington Garden Club and Lexington Charity League. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband William “Bill” Dameron in 2000.
Surviving are her daughters, Jane Dameron Worley (Andy) of Clemmons, Susan Dameron Fowler (Joe) of Salisbury; son, Scott Dameron and (fiancée Amy Lovell) of Lexington; grandchildren, Buxton, Hurst, Susan Barker, Hill Fowler and; step-grandchildren, Amanda and Spencer Worley.
