Should you ever encounter a girl with cobalt blue eyes, porcelain skin, ringlets of curls, an infectious smile, a most imperfect 21st chromosome, wearing a gown of pink, with a matching helmet,
don't turn away for you have just met the sweetest and bravest of all princesses.
Leslie Ann Wainright beloved princess died Monday, October 6th, 2014. Leslie was the most wonderful daughter, sister, niece, aunt and friend in the “Whole Wide World”!
We were honored to learn many lessons from Leslie during her short 38 years.
Among them always, always wear a smile and have your most royal wave ready at all times.
Never complain about your missing chromosome, your countless illnesses, your many surgeries, and seizures that force you to wear a helmet. ( It’s a fashion statement when worn in PINK! )
Enjoy good food, not just any, but from a French menu or from the comfort of home that took all day to prepare. Tell everyone exactly what you think but do it with a smile as to not hurt their feelings.
Make sure your lipstick matches your outfit and your skirt will “twirl”. Have tea parties with your sissy on fine china and always include good conversation with your mama. When your brothers challenge you to jump off the diving board or go down the water slide, DO IT !! No such thing as a chicken princess. Start lots of sentences with “watch this”. Enjoy your friends and family and make sure you have lots of both! Don't wait to celebrate your birthday just once a year but whenever the mood strikes, serve a wedge of chocolate cake, and lots of ice cream!
Most of all never let the opportunity to sing a song, turn gymnastic flips on a trampoline, float like a ballerina across the floor or glide on the ice pass you by. Life is so brief...
Royal services will at Yancey Funeral Services at 12 noon on Friday, October, 10th, 2014.
A picnic for family and friends will follow at the funeral home.
Wear comfortable clothe and a splash of pink if you have it.
