Rebecca Hinton Earp, 90, went home to be with the Lord with her granddaughter by her side. Born in Wake County, daughter of the late Milton Thomas and Verona Hocutt Hinton and the widow of Floyd Otha Earp, Sr. Mrs. Earp was an active member of Central Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. She retired from First Union National Bank in Knightdale. A member of the Knightdale Extension Homemakers for 25 years and the Red Hat Society. She was a dedicated mother who always wanted the best for her family.
Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Central Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Survived by her children, Sue Hinton Mitchell (Barry) of Youngsville, Debbie C. Earp of Raleigh, Butch Earp (Julie) of Wendell and Lynn Earp of Smithfield; grandchildren, Monica Francis, Haley Earp and Connor Earp; great-grandson, Mason Denton.
