One of uptown’s more distinctive office towers, 525 N. Tryon Street, is for sale, according to a listing by commercial real estate company HFF Inc.
The 19-story office building known for its pyramid-shaped top is currently owned by Parkway Properties, a publicly traded real estate investment trust. The building was designed by Odell Associates and opened in 1998.
The tower would join other uptown landmarks that have changed hands in recent years. One Wells Fargo Center, the Hearst Tower and the Fifth Third Center were all sold in 2012. Staff reports
