Stephanie L Spencer Ploeger, 56, passed away on October 4, 2014. Stephanie grew up in Dayton Ohio, and was a Chemistry major at Capital University in Ohio, where she graduated top of her class. Stephanie was the Quality Improvement Manager at Grifols Plasma Operations, and also had experience as an Analytical Chemist in the Precious Metal and Chemical industries. She was an American Society for Quality Certified Quality Engineer and Six Sigma Black Belt and had been active with the Leadership of the Raleigh ASQ Section since 2006.
Stephanie’s family and friends remember her as being a smart, hardworking, devoted and compassionate person who always put others happiness first. She also had an adventurous side, having been sky-diving two times. Stephanie was funny and witty, and was always the life of the party. She was a great cook, and loved to entertain and host people in her home. She had a great love for Lucy, her four legged friend. Most of all, she adored her daughters, and always fondly called them her “girlies.”
Stephanie is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Ploeger and Alyssa Ploeger; siblings, Soo Keith, Steve Spencer (Steph), and Scott Spencer (Lou); adopted daughters, Maggie, Jessica and Lauren; nieces, nephews and many friends. Stephanie was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Evelyn Spencer.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, from 1:00-3:00pm at Mitchell Funeral Home, 7209 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC. The funeral service will begin at 3:00pm.
