Rev. Lotis C. Joyner, 79, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 27, 2014.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 2 pm in the First Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30 pm until the funeral hour at the church. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at Pinewood Memorial Park.
Rev. Joyner, a native of Nash County, had pastored in several churches in the NC Conference for over 50 years. A great evangelist, he was a beloved husband, father and minister. He was a member of the IPHC.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Esther Joyner; son, Eugene Joyner, of the home; daughters, Starlette Hedgepeth and husband, Mike, of Halifax, and Kathy Helms and husband, Rick, of Mebane; grandchildren, April Hoggard and husband, R.J., Amy Tillery and husband, Ken, Blair Helms and Marissa Helms; great-grandchildren, Jasper, Chase and Holden Hoggard, Sarah and Katie Cockrell; brothers, Garland Joyner and wife, Carolyn, of Rocky Mt., James Joyner and wife, Shirley, of Clinton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
