Jean Sauls Baldwin, 85, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at Hock Family Pavilion.
She was born July 21, 1929 in Wake County to the late Sam Buffaloe Sauls and the late Willa Castlebury Sauls Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Edward Baldwin and grandson, Rusty Long.
Jean was a retired registered nurse. After her retirement she volunteered at Hock Family Pavilion, Meals on Wheels and was also very active at Temple Baptist Church. She was known by her family and friends as Mema.
Mrs. Baldwin is survived by her daughter, Bobbi Long and husband, David; son, Eddie Baldwin and wife, Teresa; grandchildren, Jay Long and wife, McKenzie, Stephanie Kostis and husband, Savva, Ryan Long and Melanie Baldwin-Jones and husband, Steven; great grandchild, Charlotte Long; sister, Jackie Montague and husband, Billy; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Mofield officiating. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Clements Funeral Home in Durham and at other times at David and Bobbi’s home.
