Virginia Cohoon Greene, age 90, of Forest City, formerly of 330 Main St., Mooresboro, died Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, at Oakland Living Center.
A native of Raleigh, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Julius Ashby Cohoon and Myrtle Fuquay Cohoon and was predeceased by her husband of fifty two years, G. William (Bill) Greene.
Her grandparents were the late David and Amanda Rowland Fuquay who owned Fuquay Springs where they resided, which later became Fuquay-Varina, NC. She attended Peace College and received her nursing degree from Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Her twenty year nursing career included time at Royster Hospital and later Cleveland Regional Medical Center where she was head nurse of the four south heart wing.
Survivors include her daughter, Rebecca Greene of Mooresboro; sons, Phillip Greene of Forest City, and Thomas Greene of Newton; and grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Service were held Saturday at Sandy Run Baptist Church Cemetery, Mooresboro, NC.
