On Wednesday November 26, 2014 Margaret Maria Anneveldt, also known to her family as Grace, passed away and is now with the Lord. Born July 26, 1918 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Grace immigrated to America with her husband and four children in 1954. Two months after arriving in America she gave birth to her fifth child. Her 1st husband, Leo Madern passed away in 1969.Grace resided in New Jersey from 1954 – 1993. Grace married Herman Anneveldt in 1971 and then moved to Roanoke, Virginia in 1993. When Herman passed away in 2008 Grace relocated to Raleigh, NC.
Grace was a member of the Shiloh Presbyterian Church of Raleigh. A special thank you to the congregation of the church for their enormous support and the love they have shown for our mother and the rest of our family.
Grace is survived by her four children; Henry Madern and his wife Pat of New Jersey, Adriana Weston of Tennessee, Joan Madern of Minnesota and Leo Madern and his wife Laurene of North Carolina. Her oldest son, Walter, preceded her in death in 2010. Grace is survived by her 12 grand children and 24 great grandchildren.
There will be a closed casket wake held in her honor at the Brown-Wynn funeral home on Millbrook Road in Raleigh on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 3:00pm until 5:00pm. There will be a grave side funeral service held at the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Roanoke, Virginia at 11:00am on Monday, December 1, 2014.
