Charles Winslow Braunhardt passed away very peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2014 with his wife, Carol & son, Scott by his side.
Born in Marblehead, Massachusetts to George W. and Olive M. Braunhardt, he was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Air Force, where he served for four years. Education accomplishments include A BSBA degree-Boston University, an MBA degree-Boston College, and many years later, a PhD degree-Lacrosse University.
He worked as a Computer Systems Analyst for many years then started his consulting company and was an Independent Computer Software Consultant for more than 30 years. A significant accomplishment was as a member of the Apollo Mission Team at M.I.T. where he played an important role in the first lunar landing in 1969.
He was an active member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, Raleigh, NC, a member of the American Legion, a Life Member of the D.A.V., and the Sampson Air Force Base Veteran’s Association. Also a former member of the Board of Directors of The Carying Place, the Oxxford Hunt Architectural Review Board, and CAP (Citizens Assisting Police) Team Volunteer for the Cary Police Department.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Braunhardt, son, Scott Braunhardt of Austin, TX, and son, Mark Braunhardt & family of Albuquerque, NM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 1520 Canterbury Road, Raleigh, NC 27608. Interment will be in the Memorial Garden; a reception will follow.
