Katherine Ann Bruce and Edward Wooten Wood were united in marriage on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at five o'clock in the evening at Jamestown United Methodist Church in Jamestown, North Carolina. Dr. C. M. Worthy officiated the ceremony. Following the ceremony, a reception was hosted by the parents of the bride at Adamont Farm in Trinity, North Carolina.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Bruce of Jamestown. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Duane Blankenbeker of Cincinnati, Ohio, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles Edward Bruce of Mooresville, North Carolina. She is a graduate of Ragsdale High School in Jamestown, and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Service Management. She is employed by Insight Global in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Philips Wood, Jr., of Raleigh. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Philips Wood, Sr., of Edenton, North Carolina, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bryan Wooten, Jr., of Smithfield, North Carolina. He is a graduate of Woodberry Forest School in Woodberry Forest, Virginia, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. He is currently practicing dentistry in Clayton and Raleigh.
Following a wedding trip, the couple will reside in Raleigh.
