Geraldean McMillan Campbell, 84, of Raleigh went home to be with our Lord on December 19, 2014.
Geraldean was born in Gainesville, Georgia on May 29, 1930 and was the youngest daughter born to Velma Irene Dean McMillan and Remer O’Neal McMillan. She graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1946. Gerry, as she was known to her family and friends, married the love of her life, Joe Bill Campbell, on July 4, 1947. Their love endured for over 65 years before Joe preceded her in death on April 23, 2013. Throughout their life together, they had no greater joy than time spent with their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Gerry was a member of Hayes Barton Baptist Church in Raleigh and had been a charter member of Crabtree Valley Baptist Church since moving to Raleigh in 1970. She was strong in her faith and served the Lord faithful thorough her life.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph O’Neal McMillan and her son-in-law, Bobby Talma Wilson. Her sister, Rebecca McMillan McCraw, joined her in heaven on December 21, 2014.
