Ann Taylor Bowen passed away Sunday, December 21, 2014 after a brief illness. Ann was born in Norfolk, Virginia on June 28, 1957. She was the daughter of the late William and Mary Elizabeth Bowen. Growing up in Wake Forest, she attended Wake Forest-Rolesville High School and later graduated from N.C. State with a Bachelor of Science degree. Ann worked as a medical technician and lab technician at Raleigh Community Hospital and later as a Research Scientist at Biomerieux.
Ann is survived by her step-mother, Helen Rich Bowen of Parkdale, OR; sister, Liz Bowen Ashby (Rodney) of Winston Salem; brothers, Chris Bowen (Heather) of Winston Salem, Tom Bowen (Janet) of Cary, Mitch Banks (Lorin) of Hood River, Oregon, and William N. Bowen of Portland, Oregon; many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Ann loved her family – especially her nieces and nephews. She delighted in taking them on trips and family adventures. She was kind and generous—always willing to help others.

A memorial service for Ann will be held at 11 o’clock Monday December 29, 2014 in the Chapel of Bright Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 405 South Main Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587. (919-556-5811)
