Norma Marie Curran, 79, entered into eternal peace on Monday, February 2, 2015. Born, May 7, 1935 in Portland, ME, she was the daughter of the late Laurence and Myrtle Smith, of Portland, ME.
From her earliest days, Norma was passionate about dance. She touched the lives of hundreds of students as their teacher and choreographer. Even in retirement, she continued her passion as a choreographer at Heritage Pines Active Adult Community Center and fulfilled her life dream of becoming a Raleigh Dancing Diva Rockette.
She was predeceased by her husband, George S. Curran, Jr., Barrington, NH, 1988.
She is survived by her three sons, Dennis Curran, Michael Curran and wife, Robyn, and Patrick Curran and wife, Missy Ward; three daughters, Laurie Ragone and husband, Douglas, Cathy Mitchell and husband, Larry, and Colleen Brunston and husband, Richard; ten grandchildren; brother, Laurence Smith and wife, Erla; nephew, Gregory Smith; and grandniece, Rhiannon Smith.

A memorial gathering will be held at Brown-Wynne Funeral Home in Cary, NC, on Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 1:00 – 3:00pm. A celebration of life gathering is being planned for the spring in Barrington, NH.
