Charles F. Goodno, 94, passed away on February 18, 2015 at Magnolia Glen in Raleigh. Born on January 16, 1921 in Raleigh; he was a WWII Veteran, sucessful Raleigh businessman and mentor.
Charlie was an avid avid tennis player, "born an NC State fan", a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a treasured friend to many. His unforgettable laugh will be missed by many.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ann C. Goodno; daughter, Carol Long-Grummer, RN (husband Bruce); son, Charles C. Goodno, MD; granddaughters, Chelsea Armstrong (Mike), Kristen Graham (Scott); and great-grandson, Tyson Charles Graham.
Family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7-9 pm at Mitchell Funeral Home (7209 Glenwood Avenue). Funeral Services, with Military Honors, will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at 2 PM in the Mausoleum Chapel of Raleigh Memorial Park. A Memorial Service held at Magnolia Glen will be announced at a later date.
