William Marvin Blalock, 98, of 2190 Mt. Pleasant Road died Thursday. A native of Person County he was the son of Willie and Sally L. Blalock. He was a member of the Angier Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 at Angier Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Willow Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday one hour prior to the service at the church.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Grace A. Blalock; twin sons, Ray Blalock and wife, Betty, Russell Blalock and wife, Janice of Willow Spring; daughters, Ann B. Hunt and husband, Jack of Angier, Janice B. Johnson and husband, Huey of Angier; brother Dewey Blalock of Angier; sisters, Helen “Pug” B. Hudson and husband, Leigh of Garner and Dorothy B. Jordan and husband, Billy of Willow Spring; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Blalock was preceded in death by brothers, Clarence, Braxton and Bruce Blalock, sisters, Louise B. Wolfe and Mary Ruth B. Burch and great-granddaughter, Laura Anne Singletary.
