Jennie A. Bell, 94 of Louisburg died Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born April 12, 1920 to the late Zollie and Jennie Denton Medlin. A member of Maple Springs Baptist Church. She was a hard worker, loved fishing gardening and the outside and she was dedicated to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Bell, Sr. her sons, J.E. Bell, Jr. and David “Butch” Bell (Juanita) and her daughter, Rada Ann Upchurch (Doug)and three brothers.
The family will receive friends Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Maple Springs Baptist Church where funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Jason Havens officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Helen Tucker (Fred); her son, Melvin Lewis Bell (Sherry) and her daughter-in-law, Sue Bell, four sisters, fourteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.
