Helen Robins née Elkin, age 90, died peacefully with her daughter Didi by her side.
Helen was born in Russia and came to the United States with her parents Solomon and Sonia Elkin during WWII. She visited Paris in 1948 where she met her husband Marcel Robins, returning to the U.S. two years later with Marcel and baby Ann. Didi was born one year later in New York. Helen and Marcel moved to Chapel Hill, NC, in 1973 where Marcel continued his building career. They retired to Carolina Meadows Retirement Community and then embarked on many travel adventures, including visits to family in France and Mexico. Helen was predeceased by her husband Marcel and daughter Ann.
