Norma Jean Bailey Taylor, 77, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Wellington Nursing & Rehab. She was born April 26, 1937 in Nash County to the late John Ashley Bailey and Siddie Lucille Wilson Bailey. She graduated from Corinth-Holder High School in 1955 and retired with 30 plus years as a components inspector with ITT.
Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Friday, April 24, 2015 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service Chapel, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:45 pm at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, Bonnie Ammons, 1517 Pitty Pats Path, Zebulon, 27597.
Surviving: daughters: Bonnie Ammons of Zebulon, Andrea Horton (Tommie) of Mount Pleasant; son, Jerry Lewis (Janet) of Knightdale; grandchildren: Kristen Ammons, Judson Ammons, Wayne Lewis, Kellie Lewis, Taylor Horton, McKenzie Horton; brother, Russell Bailey of Zebulon.
In addition to her parents Jean was preceded in death by brothers: Willard, Burtice and Ebert and a sister, Pauline Strickland and her loving canine companion, Sunny.
