U. Glenn Daughtridge, 79, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday, April 28, at First Baptist Church in Tarboro with the Rev. Eric Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery in Rocky Mount.
Glenn was born in Nash County to the late Ulyss “Doc” and Grace Williford Daughtridge on June 3, 1935. He was employed with Carolina Telephone Company from which he retired after 35 years of dedicated service. Following his retirement with Sprint, Glenn started “Humor With a Purpose,” a humorous motivational leadership service.
Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia “Pat” Pittman Daughtridge; daughters, Kelly Daughtridge Little and husband, Bo, of Concord, Blair Daughtridge Livesay and husband, Cary, Jr., of Crofton, MD; sister, Mary Fond Debrecht and husband, Bob, of Asheville; brothers, Charles Daughtridge and wife, Rachel, of Rocky Mount, Alvin Daughtridge and wife, Judy, of Lenoir; grandchildren, Joshua Little, Patrick and Zachary Livesay; brother-in-law, Linwood “Boots” Pittman; “adopted daughters,” Lynne Ross Boyd and Meg Barnes Cooke; his good friend, Rue; and a host of special nieces, nephews and extended family.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Carlisle Funeral Home on Monday, April 27, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.
