Natalie Pottorff, born February 6, 1985, passed away April 25, 2015 at home surrounded by her loving family. She spent most of her childhood in Clayton, NC before moving to the Fayetteville area. She held two undergraduate degrees in political science and geography from Fayetteville State University and was working towards her graduate degree for political science at American Military University. She most enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the children.
Natalie is survived by her husband, Sean Pottorff and daughters, Lorelei and Abigail, of Hope Mills, NC; mother, Shelia Acevedo and husband, Guillermo, of Fayetteville; father, John Wooten and wife, Tracy, of Raleigh; grandfather, Edward Benson, of Clayton; sister Ginger Waldschmidt and husband, Morey, along with their two daughters, Addison and Avery, of Hope Mills; brother, Bryce Snotherly, of Greensboro; and a large extended family.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at 2pm at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 US HWY 70 Business West, Clayton, NC 27520. Interment at Pinecrest Memorial Park will follow. The family will receive friends Monday, April 27, 2015 from 7-9pm at the funeral home.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
