The N&O's 11th annual travel photo contest is underway again. Until Nov. 15, we'll accept entries in three categories: Scenery, People and North Carolina. Winning entries will be published in the Nov. 29 Arts & Living section.
Guidelines
Photographers: The contest is open to amateur photographers from The News & Observer's readership area. Winners of the 2008 contest may not enter. Only one entry per person is allowed (not one per category).
Contest year: Oct. 31, 2008, to Oct. 30, 2009.
Images: Photos can be color or black and white, printed or digital. Photos must accurately represent the subject; no digital manipulation is allowed.
Images must be submitted electronically. They should be 200 DPI files that are 10 inches wide or 10 inches deep. The files should be submitted in our online form at share.triangle.com/photocontest share.triangle.com/photocontest in JPEG format.
Details: Entries should include your name, address and daytime phone number. You'll enter this when you fill out the form online. This information will not be posted on the site. Only your name will appear. Also tell us the location and date of the photo and how you happened to take it.
Scenery and People: Photos in these categories can be taken anywhere in the world.
North Carolina: Photos can come from anywhere in the state except the Triangle. In addition to first- and second-place winners, images that earn an honorable mention may be published in future sections.
