| This handsome old fellow is sure to catch your eye on North Salem Street in Apex. 'It's an attention-getter,' said Drew Crichton, a manager at Dream Spaces Ltd., the store where the butler stands outside, frozen in eternal servitude. While perhaps a rare sight in Apex, butler statues aren't a rarity for the whimsical decorator or landscape designer. Just Google 'butler statues' and a slew of ceramic and stone men, penguins and other interesting selections pop up. Or go down to Dream Spaces where the old guy, who has served his purpose as an amusing accent to the black and white awning outside the store, is now on sale. Asking price: $419. | |
