| Late-morning sun streams in through tall windows, creating shadows on a brick wall inside of Pucher-LeMay Hall at Wake Technical Community College, south of Raleigh. ‘The college was called Holding Technical Institute in 1970; it became Wake Technical Institute in September 1974,’ said Carole T. Weatherford, a spokesman for Wake Tech. ‘Of course, it is now Wake Technical Community College. We have approximately 53,000 students.’ Pucher Hall (completed in 1970) and LeMay Hall (1975) were originally separate buildings but were joined in 2005. This wall is on the north side of the old Pucher Hall. It helps create a large glassed-in lobby area, as well as defining the outside areas between buildings. |
